Adventure Day Clothing Requirements

All our activities take place outdoors where conditions maybe wet and muddy, please consider this when choosing your clothing. You may also want to consider bringing a plastic bag for wet clothing. In warmer weather we advise to bring a hat, sunscreen & sunglasses.

Please do not bring valuables, Black Mountain Activities cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
Showers are available at the activity centre @ £0.20p per minute.

Water Based Activities

Due to the nature of the activity and to avoid getting, we do not stop for lunch while on the session. You have a short break while on the river and we advise to bring a snack i.e piece of fruit or chocolate bar that your instructor will carry on the raft for you, and a warm drink will be provided.

1 large barrel and 1 small barrel per canoe is included with your booking.

We do not provide camping gear for multi-day hire you will need to bring your own Tents, Sleeping Bags and Cooking Equipment.

This activity takes place outdoors where conditions may be wet and/or muddy. We strongly advise to arrive prepared for all weather. There aren’t any facilities at the crag, please bring a packed lunch and snack for the day.

Food & Facilities

Fresh bean coffee, tea & soft drinks are all available from reception, along with crisp & chocolate bars.

Rock Climbing, Gorge Walking & Caving take place away from the activity centre where there are no shops, cafes or pubs available. Please take this into consideration when preparing for your adventure day.


Full Day Gorge Walk & White Water Rafting – to prevent participants from getting cold we only have a short break mid-session. For these two activities we advise all participants to have a good hearty breakfast and to bring a few snacks with them i.e. chocolate bars, piece of fruit. If you wish to bring/order a packed lunch, these can be saved for the end of the session (when you will most need it). For further information please call us on 01497 847897.
