WHITE WATER RAFTING
Here at Black Mountain Activities, our White Water Rafting sessions take place on the upper reaches of the River Wye in South Wales, and is run during the Winter months from the beginning of October through to the end of March.
For your White Water Rafting experience day you will be equipped with a wet-suit, buoyancy aid and helmet and transported to the starting point on the river where the fun will begin!
Our experienced raft guides will guide you down river, preparing you to skillfully tackle some of South Wales’ most demanding natural white water sections. During the course of your White Water Rafting trip you will cover a distance of up to 15 miles, encountering several grade 2-4 rapids including the infamous “Hell Hole”!
White water rafting here in South Wales is an ideal way to experience the excitement of moving white water, an absolute must for those who enjoy getting wet and love white-knuckle rides. Due to river levels & accessibility, White Water Rafting is only available during the Winter Months.
BOOKING CONDITIONS:
White Water Rafting takes place on a natural river and is fully dependent on water levels to run therefore, all participants are asked to choose an alternative activity at the time of booking. In the unfortunate circumstance that the water levels are insufficient on your chosen date, you will take part in your chosen alternative activity.
Min. 6 people required on the day to run a raft.

White Water Rafting is classed as a full day activity and is approx. a 4-5 hour session. Times are specified below however, finishing times may vary depending on group size and water levels.

FOOD | To prevent participants from getting cold we only have a short break mid-session. For these two activities we advise all participants to have a good hearty breakfast and to bring a few snacks with them i.e. chocolate bars, piece of fruit. |

All our activity sessions take place outdoors where conditions may be wet, cold & muddy. Please consider this prior to arrival, preparing yourself with appropriate clothing for the outdoors.
