Looking for a fun and unforgettable raft building experience in the Brecon Beacons? Our guided Raft Building Challengeis one of the most popular team building activities in Brecon, combining teamwork, communication and plenty of laughter on the sheltered waters of the River Usk.
Working together with barrels, ropes and wooden poles, your team will design, build and launch a fully functioning raft before putting it to the ultimate test. Perfect for families, school groups, youth organisations, corporate team-building events, stag & hen parties and groups of friends, this is an outdoor adventure everyone will remember.

🌿 WHAT TO EXPECT
Your session begins with a welcome and safety briefing from one of our experienced instructors before your group is divided into teams. Armed with a selection of barrels, planks, poles and rope, you’ll have limited time to plan and construct a raft capable of carrying your whole team.
Once the designs are complete, it’s time to launch! Paddle your homemade raft across the water, take on a series of fun races and challenges, and discover which team’s engineering skills come out on top. Whether your raft glides effortlessly or sinks in spectacular fashion, you’re guaranteed plenty of laughs along the way.
Our sessions take place on a calm, sheltered stretch of the River Usk at Brecon Promenade. When river levels are high, we use the Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience in a beautiful waterside setting.

Raft Building is a 2-3 hour activity session for which we offer two session times a day – Morning or Afternoon. Times for each session are specified below however, finishing times may vary depending on group size.

All our activity sessions take place outdoors where conditions may be wet, cold & muddy. Please consider this prior to arrival, preparing yourself with appropriate clothing for the outdoors.
