White Water Courses

Experience the thrills of White Water Kayaking or Canoeing on a natural river, here in Wales.

We have great rivers such as the Wye and Usk, with their classic white water sections and are both close to our activity centre; giving us the flexibility to choose a river that suits the individual groups’ requirements and maximise our time on the water!

Run during the winter months from October to March, we offer two white water courses: introduction white water and Intermediate White Water, both run over the duration of 2 days. These courses are for those with some experience kayaking/canoeing and should be up to a BCU 2-star award standard in the craft.

These two day courses are designed to introduce you to white water and can work nicely hand in hand. Beginning with our introduction course, you’ll cover everything from clothing and equipment to foundation white water skills that will prepare you to embark onto the further two day intermediate course. By the end you will have tackled some grade 2 to grade 4 White Water and will have gained the confidence and knowledge to manoeuvre your craft through white water safely.

For the duration of the course we will provide you with a wetsuit, cagoule, helmet and of course a kayak/canoe and paddle.
