Good Catch!
Our canoe taster days are great for persons or groups looking for a fun day out whilst under the supervision of qualified instructors. Our instructors will equip you with safety equipment such as buoyancy aid and paddle. After a safety talk you will soon be on the water, practicing paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping. After a short practice your guide will then lead you down stream. Along the way he will teach you further skills, which will be handy for the games you will be playing!
Half day will get you to Hay on Wye, which is a distance of 5 miles, and a full day will see you traveling a total of 10 miles.
These Fun Days are great to mix with our other activities such as High Level Ropes, Raft Building, Clay Shooting, Archery Orienteering etc
A Great day out where there is a high possibility of getting wet!

Our canoe taster days are for those looking to learn or improve their skills in an open canoe. Our instructors will introduce you to the the art of solo and tandem canoeing, covering the BCU star awards. Skills covered include forward and reverse paddling, moving the canoe side ways, ruddering, turning as well as getting in and out of the canoe.
