Courses run by Black Mountain Activities
are designed to support Key Stages 2-4 of the National Curriculum. Outdoor education provides an exciting, physical medium for learning, aimed to develop each pupil as an individual, a member of society and a future adult member of the community.
Students will be given the opportunity to learn an unrivalled variety of new skill and abilities, to recognise and accept their own personal strengths and limitations. Your schools needs will be discussed before a definite programme can be designed.

Safety
We pride ourselves on our safety management, which is constantly revised. Our instructors are all qualified and hold current National Qualifications in each of the relevant fields they teach, together with a current First Aid Certificate and are CRB checked. In house training is undertaken by all instructors and assistants. On site inspections by senior instructors from time to time ensure that our safety standards are maintained. Equipment used at the centre meets with BSI or UIAA standards and is inspected before and after each activity. Periodic maintenance is carried out on all equipment with records kept at the office - any piece of equipment which shows any signs of ware or malfunction is replaced immediately.
