Mountain biking in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Mountain Biking is a great way to enjoy the countryside whilst keeping fit.
You can hire our 21 speed mountain bikes for as little as half a day up to a week or more. We also offer guided tours with our experienced instructors (see prices below). What better way to see the sights of the Brecon Beacons National Park? |
Mountain Bike Hire
We have mapped routes which take you from our centre in Three Cocks up onto the Black Mountains and along the ridges to Hay or Talgarth. Alternatively enjoy the scenic beauty of the Begwyns (National Trust Site) on the Cambrian Range or explore the Brecon Beacons at your own pace on our Giant Mountain Bikes
Hire is available all year round
Hire times:-
Morning - 9.30am to 12.30pm
Afternoon - 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Full day - 9.30am to 4.30pm
We offer a discount on any hire for two or more days.
We also offer a free bike delivery to your accommodation within 10 miles of our centre (Midweek only).
Bikes are equipped with:-
- * Punture repair kit & spare inner tube
- * Pump
- * Custom made route map
- * Helmet.

Hiring one of our bikes for a half day (3 hours), you could be covering a distance of up to 20km, with a full day’s cycling (7 hours) covering a distance of 35km, giving you a chance to really explore the Black Mountains and surrounding areas. All routes are tailored to different levels of ability and involve some road work to get you to the off-road sections.
You will be supplied with a map, helmet, repair kit and pump, and we will talk you through the best route to meet your ability.
For your peace of mind there is also a back up service to collect you and your bike from the hill in the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown or injury
All routes have been custom made to suit your ability and does involve some road work to get you TO the off-road sections.You also have the peace of mind to know that there is a back up service to collect you and your bike from the hill if there is a mechanical breakdown or in the unlikely event of an injury.
Packed lunches are available to take with you at a cost of £5.00 each. These must be pre-ordered at least 24 hours prior to you cycling experience. |
Instruction.
Under the supervision of Black Mountain Activities leaders, you will be looked after and taught good, correct and fun mountain bike skills. The mountain biking here is something special. The countryside provides some of the best unspoilt biking in Britain; technical and rugged, with big climbs and sweeping descents, both on and off road - we have got the lot. |
