Gorge Walking the Classic Way

Gorge Adventure ...The Black Mountain Activities Gorge walk.
We also have a Wet Gorge for those who don't mind getting Wet!

Gorge adventure in Wales is a full days activity - it's for everyone. Dismiss any preconceptions that this is only the UK. Gorge Walking comes from the top of the Black Mountain collection. An absolute must!

You will find yourself traversing along rock walls, jumping across boulders, climbing waterfalls, exploring dark holes in the ground (only for the intrepid) with your guide challenging you to stay dry!

Forget bungy jumping...it's for wimps!

The day progresses with more bouldering and traversing, testing your balance even further as you scramble up a water fall trying to stay dry! then crawling along narrow ledges behind a water fall only to find that the only way down is to jump in the pool on the far side.

The end of the adventure gorge walk is where most people get wet and take the plunge, Loonies Leap - choose the 10ft or the 18ft leap! From there it's a short wet walk back to the minibus, where warm clothes wait.

Do not be put off at this stage, do not click back or surf away and look for a more tranquil activities. This day if for you. You will be in safe hands of Black Mountain Activities experienced guides. Most of the challenges along the walk are optional, no body is forced to do Loonies Leap or to jump across the four foot deep Mississippi Bog!

Gorge walking makes a great first choice for groups of mixed ability and is a must for Stag or Hen parties.

What do you need!:- complete change of clothes, walking boots or sturdy trainers, shorts, t-shirts for the warmer months. during the cooler months plenty of worm clothes such as fleeces, tracksuit bottoms or polyester/cotton trousers.
