The popularity of rock climbing has been grown over the years and indoor climbing walls are springing in most cities
The profile for Rock climbing is huge, and is being further enhanced with increased TV coverage. As the sport has rapidly evolved it has brought new techniques and skills to the rock climber, making it safer and more accessible. |

| Taster days are designed for people with little or no experience, who just want to have go and learn basic skills and techniques for rock climbing and abseiling. |

Once kited up with your harness and helmet you will be ready to Climb under the supervision of a qualified and experienced instructor. Often the first few moves are made low down, centimeters from the floor. You will learn the technique of bouldering, and traversing - moving side-wards along the rock, looking carefully at hand and foot placements.
As your confidence increases, with the continual encouragement of your instructor, it will not be long before you find yourself reaching the top of the climbs, scaling heights you never thought possible! Feeling on "Top of the World". |

| Abseiling:- |
The afternoon will bring yet another experience in the form of Abseiling, the art of descending a rope!
Starting at the top of the crag you will have the chance to abseil down the rock face - nice and slow at first...but with more and more practice, you will soon be abseiling down in two or three big bounds!
The instructors at BMA will coach you throughout, building your confidence and developing your techniques. This will enable you to climb heights you would not have foreseen and will arm you with the skills and understanding to continue and progress further in the future.

| We have rock climbing and abseiling spaces available where you can join as an individual, couple or small group on any weekend or Bank Holiday throughout the year. Or take a look at our adventure activity weekends |

Other Great activities available are white water rafting, canoe hire, mountain bike hire, orienteering, caving, gorge walking, rock climbing team challenges, hill walking etc. |
