Ltd is looking for a highly motivated people to join our experienced
team. We are looking for staff who can positively contribute to
our continued growth as an outdoor activity business. This is
a good opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position
within an expanding business. Candidates with good organisational
abilities and sound knowledge of the outdoors will be considered
first.
Job description
The role of the instructor is to deliver a safe, informative and
enjoyable activity season. Working with in the companies guide lines
and NGB qualifications. Where there is no qualification then the
company offers in house training. You will be expected to work with
children and adults of all ages. Some of our activities such as
Gorge Walking, Caving and Rock Climbing take place around 40 minutes
drive from the centre. Therefore you will be expected to transport
our customers to these venues in one of our mini buses so having
a D1 on your license would be an advantage.
Working week -
Working hours are normally from 8.30am - 5.30pm included
within this time will be a lunch break. There will be times during
your employment that you will be required to work additional evening
hours, this is usually from 7.00PM - 9.00PM. A flexible weekly Roster
is programmed on a weekly basis; this will give all employees a
guide to the activities they will be covering, however occasionally
the program may change slightly, depending on group demand or cancellation
of activities and weather conditions.
Prerequisites: At least two NGB awards and a current first aid certificate.
Two of the following:- SPA, L2 kayak or Canoe or higher, ML Summer,
Raft Guide level 2, Mountain Bike Award, GNAS, BOF, Local Cave Leader
- South Wales Level 1 or higher.
Salary:-
Instructors from £11'700 to £14'300 pro rata
depending on qualification's and experience.
